This radio has definitely served me well. It is well constructed to take the abuse of a job site right down to the rubber antenna. Anyone who has ever taken their radio on a job site knows that the antenna is the first thing to break which usually leaves it completely unusable until someone brings a wire clothes hanger to substitute as an antenna.
The only downside to this radio is that it doesn’t have a built in cd player. But that can easily be fixed by using a portable cd player with the aux jack on the side of the radio. You can then store the cd player and cd’s in the handy sack attached to the back of the radio.
It has a power cord when power is available and it also uses batteries from your Milwaukee tool set which lasts for a surprisingly long while.
