Bare-Tool Milwaukee 6515-20 Sawzall 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Reciprocating Saw (Tool Only, No Battery) Overview
This Sawzall is an effective cordless version of Milwaukee’s famous corded reciprocating saw. It has a 1-inch stroke with a variable-speed trigger that provides 0 to 2,000 spm. It also features Milwaukee’s quick-locking, steel blade-clamp system for fast and easy tool-free blade changing. As a cordless saw, it’s great for electricians, plumbers, contractors, demolition experts, or anyone else who wants the freedom to cut through wood or metal quickly without being tethered by a cord. This saw cuts quickly and relatively smoothly for a reciprocating saw, and the 2 amp hr battery offers plenty of run time for most jobs. While the cordless Sawzall does seem to have a relatively low level of vibration, we wish it had a soft-cushion grip on the rear handle. That said, this is unquestionably a tough, effective saw, capable of most any job a corded reciprocating saw can do. –Brian Trinen

The JR3070CT with AVT is powered by a 15 AMP motor with electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load. The JR3070CT has a long 1-1/4-inch stroke for faster cutting with 0-2,800 strokes per minute (SPM) and a variable speed dial with six different preset speeds to match the speed of the saw to the application. The unique clutch system extends the tool life by protecting the gears should the blade bind. It also has orbital action with four settings to choose from for high speed cutting.
